My name is Martina Jean-Jacques and I am a qualified Supervisor and Therapist trained in both Psychodynamic Counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I work using the incorporation of both Psychodynamic and CBT techniques. Therapy became important to me when I hit a roadblock in my own life and was struggling to move past it. Through my own personal therapy and counselling training I was able to learn about my patterns of behaviour and how my past was impeding my present. This led to me wanting to share my newfound clarity and vision to empower others, and turn it into a career.
My work experience includes currently working at the Royal Academy of Music, Black Minds Matter UK, Mentoring at BAATN, Facilitator at Frazzled Cafe, and NHS IAPT.
There are times in life when our feelings can be challenging to process. Perhaps you have recently experienced a difficult life event and need to speak to someone about it. Together we work together to explore your feelings, and try to make sense of what you are experiencing.
Counselling does not seek to provide you with advice, but rather to help you look at things in a different way. I believe that you hold all of the answers that you need, but when our vision gets clouded, we may need help to recognise this.
What are my fees? I charge £65 a session. A session lasts 50 minutes. However, in some cases fees can be negotiated dependent on individual circumstances. I also offer supervision at a rate of £60 a session.
Where am I based? Full address details will be supplied upon enquiry. However, I am based in the Ealing (W5) area.
What is the next step? I offer a free 10 minute no obligation telephone call should you wish to further enquire. If you have any more questions please contact me using the contact form or telephone number under the Contact page.
